I got used to using the simple syntax of Chordpro to write out my songs and I don’t have to worry about my chords showing up over the wrong words like if I wrote them in Word. I no longer use Windows, but I could, and my songs would be available there. I appreciate a developer who takes the time and effort to make their app available everywhere. I’ll eventually get an Apple Watch and my songs will be available there.

What other program can do that and do it so well. Because it uses the Songbook folder in Dropbox and is set to automatically update when I write something new or add a piece, my songs are the same whether I use it on iPhone, iPad, or my MacBook Pro. I have been using Songbook Chordpro for several years and I always seem to gravitate back to it as my first choice. I have used most of the chord chart apps available in the App Store. Great to have access to my songs on all my platforms Note that we also support Nextcloud sync if you have privacy concerns. You can link with Apple Music songs in SongBook iOS, but the links are device specific. Unfortunately, it's currently not possible to sync whole iCloud Drive folders in an app. Then to synch, they use google and box, who DEFINITELY don’t.

This app respects your privacy, which is great. This would be my go to instead of OnSong if it fully supported the Apple ecosystem, but without that, it’s not for me. I put three hundred songs in this, and tried it for a month. Navigation gets slow on 2019 iMac with 300 songs Needs to directly support Apple Music without having to make a copy of each song as an mp3. Mac version has very clunky transport controls. Pretty good, but needs to support Apple ecosystem
